Coming in at 27lbs, I've been able to put the stitching through some stress as well as general material stress as well. Definitely don't make the back heavier just so "some" people can roll it around. Can't think of anything more disgusting than rolling a bag around the city and then picking it up and putting it on my back. And I'm not carrying the extra weight for something I won't use.
